Principal declares holiday

With rumours of a leopard being spotted in the vicinity, the principal of Vibgyor High in Marathahalli announced a holiday for students. Social media groups were abuzz with parents either discussing the rumour or expressing their concerns.

Some residents in the vicinity took to bursting crackers in an attempt to shoo away the two leopards that were allegedly sighted in the area.

Forest officials, who had scouted the area after the alleged sightings on Tuesday afternoon, rushed back to the spot late at night to comb the area again.

However, they could not confirm the presence of the animals in the area till 11 p.m.
