A 23-year-old motorcyclist was killed on the spot when a BMTC bus knocked him down on Dinnur Main Road on Friday.
Prabhu, who works as an office attendant in a private company, was on his way to work when the mishap took place.
The RT Nagar Traffic police said that Prabhu was trying to negotiate a pothole on the narrow and badly maintained road when the RT Nagar-bound bus coming from behind knocked down his vehicle before running over him.
The bus driver soon surrendered to the police. Traffic was disrupted on the road for sometime due to the accident.
