Over 2,000 take part in ‘treasure hunt’

The treasure hunt organised by Vasavi Club Greater Visakha Couples saw about 2,000 participants decoding the clues hidden from NTR statue to YSR statue dotting Beach Road on Sunday.

The event that continued for an hour and 15 minutes aimed at gaining entry into the Guinness Book of World Records for its highest participation. N. Sai Gurucharan, E. Harish, U. Vinay and L.P.C. Kishan were the top four winners of the treasure hunt.

They walked away with exciting prizes such as a two-wheeler, a gold chain, a microwave oven and a home theatre system.

Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao attended the programme as chief guest. Visakhapatnam MP and BJP State president K. Haribabu, correspondent of Prism Degree and PG College Satyanarayana Reddy, president of the association M. Ramjee and secretary G. Gangadhar were present.
