Two persons were killed and 10 others injured in two separate road accidents at Vipparla village in Rompicharla mandal in the late hours of Wednesday. The deceased were identified as M. Yesobu (28), a native of Nuzendla and Syed Basheer (42) from Ongole.
Police said that the accident took place when a lorry rammed into a stationary bus at Vipparla. A passenger who was attending the nature’s call was killed on the spot while the cleaner of bus, Basheer who was cleaning the wind screen suffered serious injuries and died on the way to hospital.
The bus was coming from Kandukur and was heading towards Hyderabad when the driver stopped the bus on the road.
In a similar accident, ten people were injured when the bus in which they were travelling hit a lorry coming from opposite side. The incident took place near the accident spot at Vipparla. The injured were admitted to Narsaraopet general hospital.
