Senior journalist Turlapati Kutumba Rao on Sunday warned film director Naga Aswin, who is making a film - ‘Mahaanati’ - on legendary film actress Savitri not to delve into the personal life of the film star. Reacting to the statement made by the film maker, Mr. Rao said it was not advisable for the creative folks to delve into the personal lives of the celebrities. “Popular leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru, Rajiv Gandhi, Tenneti Viswanatham, Morarji Desai and N. T Rama Rao had their share of personal lives which are not for the public domain. Any over-enthusiasm to project their private lives will leave an unsavoury feeling among the audience,” he added.

Senior lawyer Naraharasetti Srihari warned the film director, who directed films like ‘Evada Subrahmanyam’, of legal action if he portrayed the legend in a disagreeable manner. Members of Mahanaati Savitri Kalapeetam who attended the meeting warned that they would launch an agitation if the great actress was showed in a poor light.
