Theft at temple

Miscreants gained entry into Sri Selvamurugan Temple at Thiruvonam and decamped with the cash deposited in the ‘hundial’ on Tuesday night. The broken ‘hundial’ was found in an agriculture field near the temple on Wednesday morning.

Functionaries of a private trust that manage the temple lodged a complaint with the Thiruvonam police. The police had recently registered a case based on a complaint lodged by the Trust that miscreants had attempted to damage granite idols in the temple.
