Bishop Heber College has retained the title in the Bharathidasan University inter-zonal inter-collegiate cricket tournament.

Twenty five colleges in Tiruchi zone and 24 colleges in Thanjavur zone took part in the inter-zonal tournament.

Two colleges from each zone – Bishop Heber College and National College (Tiruchi zone) and TBML College, Porayar, and AVC College, Mayiladuthurai, (Thanjavur zone) – qualified for the inter-zonal four-team league held here recently.

Bishop Heber College won all its matches in the four-team league to finish on top.

National College, with two wins, took the runner-up spot. TBML College, with a single victory, finished third.

D. Paul Dhayabaran, Principal, Bishop Heber College, and L.C. John, Head, Department of Physical Education, felicitated the students, head coach R. Veeraraghavan and assistant coach R. Suresh.
