SCERT to be made centre of excellence

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) will be made a centre of excellence for raising the quality of schools in the State as part of the General Education Protection Mission.

This was decided at a meeting of the SCERT governing body presided over by Minister for Education C. Ravindranath.

Master plan

The meeting decided to form a comprehensive master plan for academic and research activities.

The SCERT will be modernised. It will also document novel initiatives being undertaken in schools.
