The Left Democratic Front (LDF) State committee will meet here on Sunday to finalise the composition of the new Cabinet.

The CPI(M) State committee would also meet here on Sunday to pick the party’s Cabinet nominees. The CPI State executive committee would meet here on Saturday and State council on Monday to finalise the party’s list of nominees to the Cabinet. The swearing-in of the new government is likely to take place either on Wednesday or Thursday.

The CPI(M) is reported to be considering the names of E.P. Jayarajan, T.M. Thomas Isaac, A.K. Balan, K.K. Shylaja, S. Sarma, C. Ravindranath, M.M. Mani, Aisha Potti and Kadakampally Surendran. The CPI is likely to give a look in to Mullakkara Ratnakaran, E. Chandrasekharan, V.S. Sunil Kumar, among others. The Nationalist Congress Party would have to decide between A.K. Saseendran and Thomas Chandy and the Janata Dal (S) between Mathew T. Thomas and K. Krishnan Kutty.

The LDF leadership is reported to be thinking of keeping out single member allies or fellow travellers, but might review the stand in specific cases.
