The Hindu EDGE Career Counselling in Mangaluru

The much awaited The Hindu EDGE Career Counselling – 2019 will be held in the city on June 1.

The venue is Geetha S.M. Shetty Hall, Sri Ramakrishna College, Bunts Hostel. The counselling session will be held from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is free and starts at 9 a.m.

It will be the 16th edition of The Hindu EDGE Career Counselling, making it a one-stop shop for education needs of students. The counselling will help students in making their career decisions.

Students from class 9 to class 12 may participate. Parents and guardians of students may also attend.

The participating students will be given a career handbook for free. It has information on various career choices in different streams of education.

An official from the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will guide the students who appeared for the Common Entrance Test (CET) on this year’s counselling process.

Resource persons will guide the students on general education courses, engineering courses, medical and paramedical courses, and other professional courses and career opportunities.

The resources persons are Sacheth Suvarna, Chief Nodal Officer, KEA; Surfraz Hasim J., Director (Academics) of P.A. College of Engineering, Mangaluru; Ameen-e-Mudassar, founder and CEO of Career Information and Guidance Movement for All, Bengaluru; and Siddarth M. Shetty, orthopaedic surgeon and additional professor, K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, Mangaluru.

The platinum sponsors of the event are REVA University and Presidency University while the gold sponsors are Kammavari Sangham Group of Institutions, Cambridge Institute of Technology, Rajarajeswari Group of Institutions, Christ Deemed to be University, and Universal Group of Institutions and XIME (Xavier Institute of Management Entrepreneurship).
