Man smuggling gold arrested

The Customs sleuths on Friday arrested Sarfras Povval Mohammed Kunhi from Kasaragod for illegally smuggling 204 grams of gold into the Mangalore International airport.

According to an official release, Kunhi (30) had concealed gold in the form of measuring tape, in the buckles of a travel bag, buckles of sandals, handles of hair brush and pen refills. These items were kept in a travel bag carried by Kunhi. The sleuths checked his baggage soon after he landed in the airport from Air India Express flight from Dubai on Thursday night.
