: A marina, floating jetty for berthing the fast interceptor crafts operating under the Southern Naval Command was inaugurated at the Naval Base by the chief of the Command Vice Admiral Sunil Lanba on Thursday.

The 48-metre-long marina has the capacity to berth 10 FICs . They are used for security of naval assets in region as also for securing the entire Kerala coast against seaborne threats. The projectwas executed by West Coast Marine Yacht Services Pvt Ltd based at Navi Mumbai.
