More than a dozen injured in KSRTC bus accident

More than a dozen people were injured when a bus they were traveling in overturned after collision with a car at Kothanallore near here on Saturday .

According to Kaduthuruthy police, the mishap occurred when a private car coming in the wrong side hit the KSRTC bus going from Kottayam to Ernakulam. The bus lost control, hit a roadside tree and overturned.

A major accident was averted as the bus was coming a slow pace and the passengeres had downed the shutters of the bus, police said. Those who suffered serious injuries have been admitted to Kottayam Medical College Hospital. Two others have been admitted to a private hospital at Muttuchira.
