Zilla Parishad Chairperson Tula Uma has said that the State budget was aimed for the transformation of Telangana into Golden State with huge allocations for the agriculture sector, uplift of women and welfare sectors.
In a press note here on Thursday, she said that the government had allocated ₹ 12,000 crore providing ₹ 4,000 per acre to the farmers in the budget and also earmarked ₹ 500 crore for providing insurance coverage of ₹ 5 lakh to the farmers. She said that there were huge allocations for all the social welfare hostels, including SC/ST/BC and Minorities.
She also thanked the state government allocating ₹ 100 crore for Vemulawada temple shrine and another ₹ 50 crore for Dharmapuri temple shrine.
Election budget
TPCC vice president and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar has termed the State budget as election-oriented budget and not aimed at the uplift of society.
In a press note here on Thursday, he said that there was no mention of fee reimbursement in the budget. He also ridiculed the State government for promising to fill up of more than 75,000 jobs within one year when it had failed to fill up at least 25,000 jobs in last four years period. He also flayed the state government for not allocating any funds for the Kondagattu temple shrine and Nedunuru gas-based power station.
