Vadlakonda Sainath, the B. Tech. first year student who committed suicide at Vaddepally in Warangal on Tuesday, was known to be a sensitive youth, according to his neighbours at Abrahamnagar Colony in the coal miner town of Ramakrishnapur in Adilabad district.

His father Kanakaiah, a contract labourer in the Singareni Collieries and mother Ailamma a daily wage labourer, were stunned when the news about the death of their third son was broken to them.

Sainath was the youngest among the three sons of the poor couple and known to be studious. He completed SSC from a local school and Intermediate from a Junior college in Warangal before opting for B.Tech at a private institution in Hyderabad. The distraught parents rushed to Warangal’s MGM Hospital where the dead body of Sainath was kept after post-mortem. They were reported to be outraged after learning of the reason for the suicide of their son.
