Non-bailable warrant issued against IPS officer

A local court here on Thursday issued a Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) against senior IPS officer, Umesh Kumar, who is the chairman of Godavari Valley Development Authority (GVDA) for his failure to appear before the court in connection with a forgery case.

The Crime Investigation Department (CID), which is probing the case, filed a memo on June 6 stating that Mr. Umesh Kumar was not cooperating with the investigating officials and making allegations against them.
