NMDC wins two awards

Mining major NMDC bagged one gold and a silver at the 80th SKOCH Summit and awards held in Delhi recently.

The gold award, presented in the category of social responsibility, was for the project ‘Promotion of technical education and skill development in Dantewada district through NMDC ITI Bhansi’, while the silver award, in the category of digital inclusion, was for ERP implementation ‘Project Kalpataru’.

Director (Finance) Amitava Mukherjee received the awards virtually. The company also received 3 SKOCH – order of merit awards for its efforts in ensuring seamless digitalisation in Project Kalpataru; CSR efforts in promoting technical education and skill development in remote districts of Dantewada; and “Project safety first” in the response to COVID category, NMDC said in a release.

CMD Sumit Deb thanked SKOCH for recognising NMDC’s efforts in helping transform the lives of youth in Dantewada through skill development and training and integrating digitalisation in its production processes for efficient operations.
