YSR Congress Party (YSRC) president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy ended his electioneering in Telangana by campaigning for the party candidates in a few constituencies here on Monday.
In his election rallies-cum-road shows, he urged the people to recollect their beloved leader later Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and the welfare schemes implemented by him for the poor. He asked them to compare the administration during the YSR regime and either later or before him.
At Qutbullahpur, the constituency with highest number of votes (5.58 lakh) in Telangana where the majority of the electorate is formed by the working classes, particularly those from Seemandhra region,
‘Will not abandon T’Mr. Jagan said he would not give up on Telangana people even after becoming the Chief Minister of Seemandhra as they too had equal love for YSR and would try to implement his programmes for them too by pursuing with the government here.
Later at M.S. Makta, which forms part of the Khairatabad Assembly constituency, the YSR Congress chief tried to strike a chord with the community instantly by addressing them in Urdu, seeking apologies for not being able to speak perfect language. He stated that YSR had lot of affection for minorities and had implemented several schemes for their uplift.
‘Bless Vijaya’He asked the people to bless the party’s candidate for Khairatabad P. Vijaya Reddy, daughter of their beloved leader late P. Janardhan Reddy, to serve them with the vision of YSR. “If not now, we will form our government one day in the future here,” was the parting promise of Mr. Jagan to the crowd there.
