The BJP today made a fresh demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the alleged irregularities in the 2G spectrum allocation, saying the forming the JPC will not only satisfy the Opposition but also restore the people’s confidence in the governance.

“They (Centre) have to come out openly and constitute a JPC and subject the concerned administration to examination over the issue,” BJP national secretary P Muralidhara Rao told reporters here.

“Doubt has to be removed. People’s confidence has also to be restored by forming JPC,” he said.

The Centre has the collective responsibility in probing the scam, he said, adding “Congress at the Centre cannot escape from the whole affair“.

If (Centre) they are not accepting for scrutiny by forming JPC, they want to hide something, he said.
