I am the sole owner of an apartment complex located at Virugambakkam. Our apartment was among the many buildings that impacted during the floods last year. Our registered association has decided to collect Rs. 2 lakh from each owner to reconstruct the walkways. What legal measures need to be taken if a member disagrees to pay for the same?

If the General Body had approved the resolution for the reconstruction of walkways and contribution by each owner towards the cost of the same, all the owners have to pay the said sum for this purpose. If any member refuses to pay, the said amount should be collected in the same manner as arrears of maintenance.
