Crocodile, the flagship brand of SP Apparels, the Coimbatore-based apparel manufacturer, will soon firm up plans to enter the north Indian market with its range of branded garments.
On Friday, the company’s chief operating officer, Shankar Raam, inaugurated its third exclusive outlet in Hyderabad, on Road No. 36 at Jubilee Hills making it the 35th outlet across the country, a majority of which are in south India. “We have major expansion plans, but will be able to announce the scaling up of numbers once they are fixed. But for now, all I can say is that in view of the growing response to our brand from the youth, we are planning for more exclusive, flagship stores in Hyderabad by the year-end,” he said.
“We have moved very slowly the past eight years, but were consolidating ourselves in the south. After re-structuring our internal mechanisms, we are ready to head north,” Mr. Raam stated.
An array of t-shirts, trousers, briefs and other accessories are on display, with garments in the price range of Rs. 999 to Rs. 3,499, essentials between Rs. 150 and Rs. 500 and active wear from Rs. 600 to Rs. 1,000,” said retail head Abishek Karanwal.
