SpiceJet has posted a marginal drop in its total income at Rs. 1,691.04 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2014, against Rs. 1,701.54 crore in the year-ago period. It reported a net loss of Rs. 124.10 crore against a profit of Rs. 50.56 crore.
The company said in a statement that it achieved a 9.4 per cent rise in its unit revenue (RASK - a measure of revenue performance combining both load factor and yield) in challenging market conditions despite 8.4 per cent reduction in capacity.
