Shailesh Haribhakti, a leading expert in corporate governance and a member of CII’s Corporate Governance Committee, has welcomed the new norms announced by the market regulator SEBI, saying that it would make business structures simpler and lead to a process-driven approach.
Haribhakti, Chairman of DH Consultants and a board member of many top-notch companies, felt that it would help promoters of family-managed business houses to initiate steps to operate in a more process-driven environment. The capital market regulator on Thursday announced a number of new norms of corporate governance for the listed companies.
