Taslima's tweet

September 22, 2015 01:22 am | Updated 01:22 am IST

Ms. Taslima Nasreen’s tweet on the American schoolboy, Ahmed Mohamed, has portrayed her more as an anti-Islamic propagandist rather than an atheist or a rationalist (“Taslima under fire for tweet on U.S. schoolboy, Sep.21). Calling oneself an atheist does not mean that she is licensed to defame any religion or its followers through generalised statements.

Also, in this case, it is highly condemnable that individual talent was not given attention by the policeman. A clock was mistaken for a bomb only because its inventor was a Muslim! Such instances create unnecessary fears in inquisitive minds.
