Second phase of ‘Palle Pillupu’ to begin from Nov 29

Buoyant with the success of ’Palle Pillupu’ (mass contact programme in villages) across Andhra Pradesh, BJP state unit has decided to organise second phase of programme at the end of this month.

“The party has taken a decision to organise second phase of mass contact programme beginning from November 29,” State party general secretary N Ramachander Rao told reporters here.

There was a tremendous response received from the public during the five-day programme conducted last month, he said adding that it would also help the party propagate its ideology on various issue and strengthen it at village level.

The programme was aimed to understand the problems related to issues like education, healthcare, sanitation, electricity and water supply in villages, he said.

Prior to this programme, the party would organise an intellectual meeting here on November 28 in which over 5000 intellectuals including lawyers and engineers are expected to participate.

The programme would be addressed by party senior leader and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley, Mr. Rao said.
