Swamy bats for renaissance of Hinduism

The alarmingly dwindling patriotism and movement of extremists in Tamil Nadu can be checked only through renaissance of Hinduism, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy has said.

During an informal chat with reporters at Gangaikondan near here on Tuesday, Dr. Swamy, who was received by the members of ‘Virat Hindustan Sangam,’ said that movement of extremists had increased in Tamil Nadu even as patriotism was dwindling in the State. This could be checked only through renaissance of Hinduism.

Poll alliance

He said that the BJP had not taken any decision on electoral alliance in Tamil Nadu as the party’s Executive Committee alone had been empowered to take the decision in this regard.

“If anybody from the party says something about electoral pact, it is their personal opinion. My view is that the BJP should contest on its own in all 234 Assembly segments in Tamil Nadu,” said Dr. Swamy, who was here to attend a private function.
