A 30-year-old man, who was involved in abducting a five year-old girl and sexually abusing her, was sentenced to eight years imprisonment here.
The prosecution case was that the girl was living in a refugee camp in Paramathi Velur. On August 20, 2013, Raja of the same area, abducted her and sexually abused her. Based on a complaint, Paramathi police registered a case and arrested Raja. Sessions Judge of Fast Track Mahila Court S. Manvizhi found him guilty and sentenced him to four years and a fine of Rs. 1,000 for abduction.
Also, the accused was handed down another four years and a fine of Rs. 1,000 for sexual abuse.
