June 29 : The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, made a brief stopover in Chennai this afternoon, on the way to Sriharikota. He was received by the Governor of Tamil Nadu, Shri K. Rosaiah, and the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Ms. J. Jayalalithaa. The Prime Minister later had a courtesy meeting with Ms. Jayalalithaa, before leaving for Sriharikota.

PSLV has twenty five consecutively successful flights out of twenty six launches.
ISRO has so far launched 35 satellites of foreign countries onboard its workhorse, the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle.
The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) C23 is scheduled to lift off at 9.52 a.m. on Monday with 714 kg weighing French Earth Observation Satellite SPOT-7, 14 kg AISAT of Germany, NLS7.1 (CAN-X4) & NLS7.2 (CAN-X5) of Canada each weighing 15 kg and the 7 kg VELOX-1 of Singapore.
