Four persons were killed after lightening struck them in Vizianagaram district on Thursday night.
P. Annapurnamma (50) was killed in paddy fields in Pedamanapuram of Dattirajeru mandal. Two villagers Kotnana Appalanaidu (51) and Polarama Naidu (65) lost their lives in Kasapeta of L. Kota mandal, while Kotnana Krishna of same village was hospitalised with severe injuries. D. Viswanathan (55) of Chukkavanipalem of A. Kota mandal was also killed.
izianagaram Collector Vivek Yadav directed the revenue officials to help families of deceased persons. Meanwhile heavy rains were reported in majority of mandals of the district.
