Two persons died in an accident after the motorcycle on which they were travelling was hit by a speeding lorry on GST Road at Vandalur at 3 a.m. on Sunday.
B. Rajesh (26) and S. Krishna Kumar (25) were returning from Tambaram to Guduvanchery when the accident took place. The lorry rammed the vehicle, throwing the youth on the road and killing them on the spot. Following a complaint from Balu, father of Rajesh, a case has been registered. The lorry driver, who has been arrested, had said that the vehicle’s brakes had failed. However, investigations are on to establish the cause of the accident. — Staff Reporter
