Film festival begins

In an effort to showcase Indian films produced by National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), ‘Cinemas of India Showcase’ was inaugurated at Tagore Film Centre NFDC in the city.

The five-day festival, organised by NFDC in association with Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation (ICAF), was inaugurated by Ravi Kottarakara, Secretary of Film Federation of India, and presided over by Sivan Kannan, President, ICAF. Veteran dancer-actor Sukanya, D. Ramakrishnan, Deputy General Manager of NFDC, and Katragada Prasad, Secretary of South Indian Film Chamber, Chennai were present. The film festival, which is open to all, draws to a close on Friday.
