The Southern Railway has made some changes in train services on the Chennai-Gudur section on May 7,8,14 and 15 due to engineering work between the Ennore and Gummidipoondi stations.

An official press release said that the Sulurpeta-Moore Market Complex electric multiple unit scheduled to leave at 10 a.m., MMC-Gummidipoondi EMU leaving at 8.50 a.m. and Gummidipoondi-MMC EMU leaving at 10.50 a.m. have been cancelled. The MMC-Gummidipoondi EMU (train No.42009) will be terminated at Ponneri. Gummidipoondi-MMC EMU (train No.42018) will be operated between Ponneri and MMC.

The Chennai Beach-Gummidipoondi EMU (train No.42601) will terminate at Ponneri. Similarly, on these four days, the Bitragunta-Chennai Central passenger train (no. 57240) will terminate at Gummidipoondi and in the return direction, it will be operated from Gummidipoondi to Bitragunta. Further, a Gummidipoondi-MMC EMU (train No.42022), will leave late by 20 minutes and not at the scheduled departure time — 11.20 a.m.
