Chief Orthopaedician M.J. Naidu will deliver an ‘Awareness Talk’ and begin Medical Camp on The Hindu office premises on the 100 feet Road in Autonagar here at 8 a.m. The police personnel will come here in batches and get themselves screened.

Standing long hours on roads as part of their duties and walking/running, the police personnel develop several bone and joint related problems and this camp will help them identify any problem they are likely to develop. There were many latest developments in the joint replacement surgeries and material used to make the operation painless and economically viable even for the poorest of the poor, he said. The doctor will explain and bring awareness on all these aspects so that any one in the families of the police personnel need to visit a doctor could assess their condition better.
