More special trains via Mangaluru

The Railways will operate more special trains via Mangaluru to clear the festival rush.

The trains are: train no 06155 Mangaluru-Chennai Superfast Special, leaving Mangaluru Junction at 10.30 a.m. on December 25 and reaching Chennai Central at 3.30 a.m. on Saturday via Kasaragod, Vadakkara, Shoranur Jn, Palakkad Jn, Coimbatore, Erode, Salem Jn and Katpadi. The train will have three 2 tier AC coaches, three 3 tier AC coaches, 12 sleeper class coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans.

Kochuveli-Mumbai

Two special trains will be operated between Kochuveli-Mumbai-Kochuveli to clear the extra rush via the Konkan Railway network.

Train no 06159 Kochuveli-Lokmanya Tilak Superfast Special will leave Kochuveli at 4.30 a.m. on December 30 to reach Lokmanya Tilak terminus at 12.40 p.m. the next day. In the return journey, train no 06160 Lokmanya Tilak-Kochuveli Superfast Special will leave Lokmanya Tilak terminus at 2.20 p.m. on December 31 to reach Kochuveli at 8.45 p.m. the next day.

The trains will stop at Kollam, Kayamkulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Shoranur Jn, Tirur, Kozhikode, Thalassery, Kannur, Kasaragod, Mangaluru Jn, Udupi, Byndoor, Kumta, Karwar, Madgaon, Karmali, Thivim, Kudal, Kankavali, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Khed, Roha, Panvel and Thane. They will have two 2 tier AC coaches, four 3 tier AC coaches, 12 sleeper class coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans.

Train no 06161 Kochuveli-Mumbai CST Special will leave Kochuveli at 8.45 a.m. on January 2 to reach Mumbai at 3.15 p.m. the next day. In the return direction, train no 06162 Mumbai CST-Kochuveli Special will leave Mumbai at 4.40 p.m. on January 3 to reach Kochuveli at 12.30 a.m. on Tuesday.
