The District Police have registered a case against a Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) functionary on the charge of posting pictures on a social network site hurting the sentiments of Muslims.

Tamilnadu Thowheed Jamaath (TNTJ) District President B. Shafi Ahamed said that their organisation will organise demonstrations if he was not arrested without delay.

In a petition the organisation submitted to the District Police on Monday, they have claimed that the accused B. Selvaraj, who is a union secretary of the VHP, has also been making derogatory remarks against their place of worship.
