His irresistible sense of humour often comes to his aid. Kunal Kapoor deadpans that he’s “been taking care of the economic crisis; that’s why hasn’t been seen on the big screen.” But now that it’s officially over, he’s back on track. Talking about the two years since “Rang De Basanti”, Kapoor said that he had been honing his skills. “I am a better actor now and can take on roles alone and work better on them.” He has also decided to co-write scripts with filmmakers whose work he likes. “One is a film on Punjab. So far only the jovial, happy side of life in Punjab has been shown. We want to take a look at the darker side there,” said Kapoor. He is also excited to be playing a comic book character. “This is every boy’s fantasy turned true,” said Kapoor. “Finally I can dress up as a superhero without people laughing at me.”
