Hearing in Mugilan case adjourned

The Madras High Court on Monday adjourned to June 4 further hearing on a habeas corpus petition to trace anti-Sterlite activist T. Mugilan alias Shanmugam who has been missing since February 15. The case was adjourned after the CB-CID filed a detailed status report listing the steps being taken to locate him.

A Division Bench of Justices M. Sathyanarayanan and M. Nirmal Kumar was told by Additional Public Prosecutor C. Ayyapparaj that the additional police teams were looking for him in neighbouring States.

The activist reportedly disappeared while on a train to Madurai.
