Armed militants injured three civilians and abducted an inmate after barging into a civilian house in Bandipora's Hajin, 30 km from Srinagar.

A police official said four militants of the Lashkar-e-Taiba barged into the house of Farooq Ahmad Parrey at 10:10 p.m in Hajin.

"The militants used knives and guns and caused grevious injuries to Parrey's wife, daughter and brother," said the police.

The injured were identified as Rafeeqa, Neelofar and Hilal Ahmad Parrey. Rafeeqa has "serious" firearm injury. "Militants used sharp weapons to injure others," the police said.

They were shifted to a Srinagar hospital.

The police said the militants also abducted Muntazir Ahmad Parrey, who is a son in law of the house owner.

"Efforts are on by the police to trace out the abducted person," said the police spokesman.

The police said Mr. Parrey's son Muzzafar Ahmad Parrey alias Muzz Nata was killed by militants last summer.

Meanwhile, the police lodged an FIR into the incident. "An investigation has been set into the motion," said the spokesman.
