Demand to install Tipu Sultan’s statues

Vatal Nagaraj, leader of the Kannada Chalavali Vatal Paksha on Monday urged the State and Union governments to install statues of Tipu Sultan in front of the Karnataka Bhavan and Parliament in New Delhi.

Mr. Nagaraj visited Tipu Sultan’s tomb and the place where the body of Tipu Sultan had been found at Srirangapatna in Mandya district, as part of a programme to mark Tipu Sultan’s death anniversary here.
