Gun stolen from army man’s house

A double-barrel gun and four sovereign gold chain were stolen from an army man at his house near Alanganallur. The complainant, K. Murugan, said that his son was serving in army in Jharkhand. He has a house in 15B Mettupatti under the maintenance of the complainant. On the night of Tuesday, some unidentified persons broke into the house and decamped with the properties. The Alanganallur police are investigating.
