TS holds seed congress meet in Gujarat

Principal Secretary (Agriculture) C. Parthasarathi has asked seed industry representatives in Gujarat to participate in the International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) congress being organised in Hyderabad from June 26 to July 3 in large numbers.

At a preparatory meeting that was held with seed industry representatives and officials of Gujarat at Ahmedabad on Tuesday, Mr. Parthasarathi said the event would be an opportunity to improve seed exports from Gujarat, which was one of the best seed-producing States in the country after Telangana.

Director of Telangana State Seed and Organic Certification Authority K. Keshavulu said a special workshop would be organised on June 24 and 25 with small and medium scale seed companies from 38 African countrieswith the cooperation of Food and Agriculture Organisation.
