Dragonfly to set up facilities in city, Vizag

Dragonfly Data Factory on Monday announced that it is setting cloud-enabled data factory, a facility to enable clients mine, manage and monetise large volumes of data from any number of sources.

The US-based company has now plans to expand by opening facilities in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam

Addressing presspersons here, founder and CEO Ram Pothula said the business potential was huge. In three years, the headcount was expected to be 2,700 and revenues around $42 million.

A release said Dragonfly is building products to harness the “rapidly accelerating velocity, variety and volume of data generated by sensors and smart devices – the Internet of Things. It intends to unite such “real time data processing with batch oriented processing of data from traditional data sources, social media platforms and more.”
