Two persons have been arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell on Monday in connection with the attack on JNU student Umar Khalid outside Constitution Club of India.

A senior officer of Special Cell confirmed the development.

A video of the two claiming responsibility for the attack had gone viral on social media. The two, natives of Haryana, are now being interrogated to ascertain whether they carried out the attack and the motive behind it.

The incident took place when Mr. Khalid went to the club last Monday to attend an event.
