Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has assured a group of traders from Mayapuri, who met him on Tuesday, that they will move against sealing of shop in Supreme Court, said Brijesh Goyal, AAP Delhi Trade Wing convener.

“Äbout 150 traders from Mayapuri met the Chief Minister around 1 p.m. at his residence and he assured that we will approach the Supreme Court against the sealing drive,” Mr. Goyal said.

He said that the CM also assured the traders that he would not allow anyone to snatch their livelihood from them.

“The Central government can stop all this if they wish. The DDA and the city police are under them,” he said.

On the directions of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on April 11, Delhi government agencies, including the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) and area Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office, carried out a sealing drive in the Mayapuri scrap market on April 13 which led to violence.
