My best buddy

I have been reading the YW since I was seven years old. I haven't missed a single story in it. didn't miss a single article of it. The YW has improved my writing skills and vocabulary. The quiz has helped me improve my General Knowledge. My best buddy, is Kaleidoscope which has motivated me to try painting.

I have been a regular reader of The Hindu Young world for the past 10 years. YW gave me an opportunity to do some creative reading and is a motivation tool to bring out my artistic talents. It is a podium for all young kids to expose their talents to the outer world to break all barriers, to render themselves in art and poetry. It also develops ones general knowledge, shapes ones character and personality. In simple terms YW is “a treasure box of wisdom”.

My cutie pie

From my childhood I have been interested in reading the YW. I find it is innovative and creative. It has improved my co-curricular skills. The tagline says “Complete newspaper for children” and I feel this is so apt.

Family reading

I have been reading YW from 2005 and the Young World always has what I need. I collect old YW issues. Whenever my teachers give me assignments or project on any topic, there always seems to be some information about the same topic in young world. Everyone in my family reads YW, Including my 10 year old sister to my 60 year-old uncle and aunt.

Wonderful experience

It is such a beautiful experience that I cannot forget the first time I read YW. It was during my summer vacations, and I was left with nothing to do. I have been reading YW since I was in Std II. YW has done a great deal in sharpening my character by inculcating in me the desired skills and knowledge.

A paper for all

First of all I would like to wish YW for completing 20 years of excellence in print world. I started reading Young World from Std. VIII. I am a great fan of the quiz. I even collect the quiz and file them. There is something for everyone in YW.I even remember when I and my grandfather used to compete to solve the puzzles in Young World. This depicts that Tuesday is the one which turns older people young.

Compulsive reading

My journey with Young World began in 2004. I was a Std V student at that time. My father gave me a copy of Young World and told me to do the puzzles and riddles. There started my love for YW. I just love reading it. I have to say that its been a great pleasure reading the lovely short stories and solving the tricky puzzles. Because of the quiz I have gained a lot of information. I have to say that I am greatly indebted to The Hindu and the Young World editorial team.

My dictionary

I am very attached to the Young World. On Tuesdays I become the quiz master, information giver and telling jokes with my schoolmates to ease our daily tension and to learn about many things in Science, Maths, Nature and so on. I am now having the YW as my personal dictionary. It helps to increase our IQ.

World of knowledge

When I started reading words and phrases my mother introduced me to YW. I started solving jumbles and games initially. Gradually I became a great fan of YW. Not only my general knowledge but also my language has improved a lot.. I'm very proud to say that we are also a part of the 20 year celebrations. A big thanks to The Hindu for this gift of YW.

Very attractive

How will I put my appreciation to the Young World into words? I read the YW at a municipal library when I was studying in the Std V. Till then, I was not happy to read English articles, then after reading Young World, I was eager to do so. This eagerness made my father to become an agent of The Hindu. I used to read Young World on Fridays and then on Tuesdays. Now, my sister Iyrin Anna Johnson gets it first. My sister and I find this paper very attractive

Thanks a lot to my mom for giving me entry into the world of Young world. That day is still fresh in my mind, when my drawing sent by mom was published in it. I was so thrilled and jumped with joy. Since that day, when I was five years old, I got acquainted with young world. Sailing through this world is always a pleasurable and enjoyable experience. It made me more creative. The moral based short stories helped me a lot in moulding my thinking and also taught me how to react to situations which is really complex. Many real stories about great people also inspired me a lot. I could remember the school days I used to complete at least few of the contents before my bus arrives waiting in the bus stop when I was at Delhi school. It is like a friend for me. We cannot skip a day without talking to our friends. Just like that I cannot ignore this friend of mine when it comes to my doorstep. Me and my mom helped my brother also to make YW as one of his friends. Now for him also on tuesdays reading YW is a must. Since I am grown up, I have given him the first chance of reading YW. But I am happy to see him acquiring knowledge from this.Hope and wish this YW should provide more and more insight into the unlimited world of knowledge for children like us.
