Continue the journey

I grew up with the Young World. I exactly don't remember when I first picked up the first copy of Young World, but I always knew that I did a great thing by doing so. There are numerous magazines for children today, but Young World still stands as the best. With the main articles being my favourite, I always try the quiz ending up answering only one or two of the questions correctly. But, there’s more than that meets the eye. It is an excellent corollary of an excellent newspaper, the Hindu. I congratulate Young World on completing 20 glorious years and I hope this journey continues on an everlasting route.

A different world

I have been reading Young World since my childhood. It is a wonderful and different world to children with beautiful cartoons, paintings, etc. Young World has played an important role in my life and increased my general knowledge, vocabulary and Maths skills. It also give details on current affairs. I am very much interested in the stories of Mahatma Gandhi. I am also interested in Hey Math! column which discusses interesting topics and questions on mathematics. Quiz questions column is also very good. I am very much interested in the paintings and drawings which are drawn by the children from various schools. Young World is a very good newspaper for children and teenagers. I always wait for Tuesdays to read it.

My morning coffee companion...

It was through my father, an ardent reader of the Hindu newspaper, that I first started reading the newspaper and continue reading it even today. Even now, my father who is 82 years old, doesn't leave a single line in the paper. I remember, during the first editions of Young World, I used to fight with my younger brother to read it first. It was the time when I had just gotten my college degree that I started reading the Young World. Even then, I used to get a peculiar pleasure in colouring the cartoon pictures and reading the tidbits and solving the crossword puzzles. Young World has helped me in improving my vocabulary and my language and also my worldly knowledge. Seeing me reading the paper, my daughter has also initiated the habit. Young World has helped me teach my daughter and now, she has a good command of the language.

Congratulations Young World, for completing 20 years of publication and I wish you All The Best!! The Hindu and the Young World will always be my charming and knowledgeable morning coffee companion .

Creative newspaper

I grew up reading Young World. I started reading it from V std onwards, now I have completed engineering. I am very proud to say that from v to X std (1999 to 2004). I have been a continuous participant in the Young World activities, every Friday of my school days used to be very beautiful and wonderful as mine and my friends’ paintings used to be published in Kaleidoscope. That would turn to be a great day . Young World encouraged my painting interests a lot. I stood first in the Young World painting competition (2002). Young World also helps develop general knowldege skills in children, i have participated in YW Quiz for 3 times, in my school days it was amazing experience to everyone at school level. Young World is attached to all my schooling days and it develops creative art in every child.
