Telangana briefs Airbus on aerospace policy

Airbus Group India President Pierre de Bausset and Vice-President Ashish Saraf got a brief understanding about Telangana’s new industrial policy and incentives offered by the Government to those who wished to set up industries in this fledgling State.

In the City for India Aviation 2016, the duo on Wednesday called on Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma and listened to the aerospace policy, the State’s potential in the aviation sector and how Telangana was the most-preferred destination for investment. They were briefed about the steps taken by the Government to make the youngest State in the country, a global manufacturing hub in the aviation sector.

On his part, Mr. Pierre de Bausset briefed the Chief Secretary about the Airbus group, their activities in India and likely action plan for the coming years. He said India played a key role in the expansion plans of the aircraft manufacturer and appreciated the aerospace eco-system in Telangana.

The Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Santhi Kumari and Principal Secretary Industries Arvind Kumar, were also present on the occasion, said an official release.
