A 27-year-old security guard was allegedly by an unidentified person at Palahalli, near Srirangapatna, on Saturday night.

Identified as Bijai Moni from Ramakrishna district in Andhra Pradesh, the victim was working as a security guard at the railway stockyard near Palahalli.

The incident occurred when Mr. Moni tried to prevent an unidentified person from stealing iron rods from the railway stockyard. Upon hearing his scream, another guard and local residents rushed to the spot. However, the offender escaped as soon as he saw another security guard rushing towards the crime site.
