A mini library has been set up at the waiting hall of the Coimbatore City Police Commissioner's office for people visiting the building, which also houses other important offices.

A joint initiative of The Coimbatore City Police and the Lions Clubs International, the mini library has more than 100 books.

The books in the library include Mahatma Gandhi's autobiography ‘The Story Of My Experiments With Truth’ and Thirukkural. Books penned by formed Additional Director General of Police C. Sylendra Babu and former City Police Commissioner A. Amalraj also find a place in the library. Lions Club had set up mini libraries in 15 law and order and crime police stations, three all women police stations, and the traffic police stations in Coimbatore city limits when K. Periaiah was the Police Commissioner.
