IITs sign MoU on Ganga management plan

A consortium of seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) has been officially signed on to prepare a management plan for the Ganga river basin to ensure the clean and continuous flow of the river.

The IITs signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Human Resource Development and Environment and Forests Ministries here on Tuesday. The 18-month project will cost about Rs.15 crore.
